The Seaside Inn has a rich history dating back to the early 17th century as the oldest continuously operating inn in the United States. When the inn was originally established in 1660 it was known as the "Farm House".

In the mid-1800s, the property gained popularity as a summer destination for tourists seeking a seaside retreat. Over the years, it went through several transformations and expansions, eventually becoming the Seaside Inn as it is known today.

With its location directly on the beautiful Kennebunk Beach, the inn attracted travelers seeking respite by the ocean. As the popularity of Kennebunk as a summer resort town grew, so did the reputation of the Seaside Inn.

Throughout its long history, the Seaside Inn has seen many changes and renovations, adapting to the needs and preferences of guests over the years. However, it has retained its classic New England charm and beachfront allure.
